Katie & Dustin – married

Katie and Dustin both live out of province but they came home for their wedding to celebrate with family and friends. Katie grew up close to Stonewall and chose a beautiful wedding location there that was special to her.

The first part of our afternoon was spent with just the couple, allowing for a relaxed and romantic feel. From the barns to the fields, the day was perfect for Katie and Dustin! The ceremony took place in the old stone ruins which was an absolutely stunning backdrop for their wedding – one of the most beautiful I’ve photographed. With the help of Lauren from Stone House Creative, Katie’s and Dustin’s vision for their special day became a reality.

Katie and Dustin, thanks for including me in your wonderful day. I hope the images reflect what a special time it was. :)

Angela & Burl – married

Angela and Burl are the kind of couple that everyone loves to celebrate. These two are obviously meant for each other and so in love! Plus, they were wonderful to work with; from the first look right through to the first dance they had fun and smiled the whole day.

The heat and humidity were pretty high but we made sure to stop for Slurpees and stayed in the shade. Our shooting locations at Aspire Studios and the park close-by to her childhood home were perfect. Divine Weddings made sure everything ran smoothly and the reception at the Fort Garry was absolutely beautiful. Listening to the speeches after dinner, it was easy to understand why their friends and family love Angela and Burl so much!

Congrats, Angela and Burl! We wish you all the best in the your life together.

Amanda & Dan – married

Amanda and Dan’s wedding was a celebration with all their loved ones from near and far. Since there were so many out-of-town guests they made sure to highlight some of Winnipeg’s unique spots, including Waterfront Drive, the Forks and the beautiful rural location at Hawthorn Estates. Amanda had planned many little details for months and the whole day was a reflection of the bride and groom’s personalities.

It was a scorcher of a day, hot and humid, but the weather held until after the beautiful outdoor ceremony. During the reception we experienced a true Manitoba thunderstorm but it didn’t dampen the party at all. The guests enjoyed the “roasts and toasts” by the bridal party and an awesome set played by Dan and his dad and then partied into the night.

Thanks, Amanda and Dan, for choosing me to photograph your wedding. I hope the images bring back great memories of your special day!

LaDawn & Rob – married

LaDawn and Rob initially met each other as colleagues but several years down the road they fell in love; last week they tied the knot. :) They wanted a fun and relaxed wedding with their close family and friends. I met up with them for their first look out at Winkler Bible Camp… not a regular shooting locations for me! But it offered a beautiful backdrop and I love the shots of them in the trees. We also stopped at Bethel Heritage Park.

Their ceremony was personal and lovely, incorporating their friends and loved ones. Afterwards it was just a short drive to Jonny Java’s where the couple spend plenty of time together. :) What a perfect spot to celebrate with their family and friends.

Congrats, LaDawn and Rob! I wish you all the best in your new life together.

Leslie & Josh – married

Leslie and Josh’s wedding was the perfect mix of timeless elegance and fun with friends and family. Leslie was a relaxed and calm bride, even when the weather didn’t seem to be cooperating. In the end, she didn’t need to worry in the first place because it the clouds cleared right after the ceremony and we had the perfect weather for outdoor shots. The couple chose some of Winnipeg’s most beautiful architectural locations, including Westminster United, the Hamilton Building and the Fort Garry Hotel.

Leslie and Josh, thanks for allowing me to capture such a special day! Congrats on starting this new stage of life together. :)
