Jade & Dustin – married

Jade and Dustin are from Winnipeg but now live in Ontario. They decided to come home for their wedding and chose the perfect prairie spot, Hawthorn Estates. This beautiful setting gave them the blend of casual elegance and an intimate feel that they wanted for their ceremony and reception, and Jade made it look even more stunning with all the personal touches she added.

The wedding party definitely weren’t shy… they kept us on our toes but laughing the whole time! Jade and Dustin were relaxed all day and just enjoyed their time together and with all their friends and family. We captured some beautiful shots and there were many tender moments, but I think my favourite images came at sunset. I always love photographing couples in the evening after all the busyness of the day has settled down.

Jade and Dustin, congrats on tying the knot! I wish you guys all the best in the years to come.

Jenn & David – married

Jenn and David first met at a youth conference and hit it off, however they lived thousands of kilometres apart. Phone calls led to visit, and then Jenn moved to Winnipeg and David proposed. Their wedding was a true celebration with family and friends from near and far, many of whom were included in the day. It was really special that David’s dad was able to marry them at David’s home church.

These guys wanted to have some time for photos but also time to relax with their friends so they planned a picnic. They also wanted to spend some time at the water and we headed out to St. Malo for some dockside pictures. It was the perfect setting for the bride and groom to relax and enjoy their time together.

Jenn and David, thanks so much for choosing me to capture your special day. It was an honour to be a part of it.

Lauren & David – married

I feel like I’ve known Lauren and David for a really long time since I’ve photographed many of their friends’ weddings; it’s always nice to spend time with them :) Relationships with family and friends are a priority to Lauren and David and their wedding reflected this throughout the day. Everyone was excited to celebrate with these guys!

Much of our day was spent outdoors so it’s a good thing we were blessed with a beautiful, sunny day. From the reveal out in Headingly to the wonderful ceremony at St. Charles, it was the perfect day and it’s easy to see how in love Lauren and David are. I especially enjoyed capturing their reception which was full of personal moments, including a duet about the bride and groom’s romance by David’s sisters, and an awesome first dance that morphed into something a little different as it went on. :)

Lauren and David, thanks so much for choosing us to capture your special day!

Zoe & Ryan – married

Zoe and Ryan’s wedding was close and intimate and Pineridge Hollow was the perfect setting for their special day. They were joined by their family and close friends while they made their vows to each other, and of course their pup was included in the day as well! Zoe was stunning and Ryan was handsome, and together they were so easy to work with. I absolutely love how beautiful their images look.

Zoe and Ryan, thanks for having me capture such a special moment in your lives!

Krista & Casey – married

Krista and Casey planned their wedding from Alberta but everything came together perfectly. They wanted to make sure the day was a ton of fun for them and their guests, and they definitely succeeded. These guys had a great time together.

Both the bride and groom were relaxed and easy-going, and they stayed positive despite the rain early on. However the sun came out mid-afternoon and they were still able to enjoy their outdoor ceremony at the Gates. Thanks to Dale from the Gates for being patient and calm enough to make the last-minute call to keep the ceremony outside! Afterwards all the guests enjoyed a great party on the deck, which carried on into the reception and well into the night.

Krista and Casey, you guys were the perfect bride and groom. I hope these images bring back all those wonderful memories from your day!
