Kristi and Trevor were very excited for their engagement session (especially Kristi), but also a little bit nervous about it all. They were worried about being unsure of what to do, how to stand properly and whether they would look awkward in the photos. I always try to reassure couples as we’re leading up to an engagement session but sometimes you just have to get out there and do it! Well as you can see, they had nothing to worry about… Kristi and Trevor are very photogenic. :)
Since it had rained almost the entire day, Kristi and I had been talking back and forth about rescheduling but she had her hair and makeup booked and there was no turning back. We knew we’d just make the most of whatever weather we ended up with and like most times, we weren’t disappointed. (I still have a wish for a complete downpour for an engagement session… how cool would that be!) I have to admit that Trevor and I kept a close eye on the score since Game 7 was happening that night but in the end it didn’t matter much, did it? :(
I scouted out a couple new locations that I had never shot before, mixed in with a couple locations that never let me down. Kristi brought along two outfits for a mid-session change and it turned out that both her outfits worked perfectly for each location we were in. My favourite shots from the session were the series of them sitting on the step, as well as the shots with off-camera flash taken in the back alleys downtown.
