I loved going to Ireland for the first time with Meagan in the spring of 2009. It’s such a beautiful country and the people really are as friendly as everyone says, so I was excited about the chance to go back in October. Our friends were getting married and you can’t pass up the opportunity to shoot a wedding in Ireland!
Kelly and Andy’s wedding was held at a manor house about an hour’s drive outside of Dublin. It really was a stunning location to host a wedding and we enjoyed staying at the house for the weekend too. The food and the staff were amazing. The weather for the actual day was perfect, even though Kelly was hoping for snow!
They both looked stunning and were an easy couple to photograph since they were so relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera. We did some shots separately before the ceremony since they didn’t want to see each other beforehand. The ceremony itself was held in the cellar of the manor house, giving a very unique and intimate setting. Afterwards, we used the house and its grounds to continue photographing while all the guests enjoyed mingling over refreshments in the conservatory.
Meagan and I both enjoyed the entire day. After a fun time of shooting the wedding we were able to sit down to an amazing meal and celebrate with friends who are like family. The whole day was capped off with dancing in the grand foyer and late nights snacks hosted in the reception rooms.
Thanks for a fabulous experience Kelly and Andy. We are so happy for you guys and look forward to more visits in the future.
