I’ve really enjoyed getting to know Alisa and Sean and we had a wonderful time at their wedding on Saturday. They’re a really laid back couple and they were game for trying anything out. The wedding party was also a lot of fun… “Razor” and his friends are good people! I love working with attitudes like that!
Alisa knew without a doubt what she wanted for the feel of the wedding images. She prefers a more pastoral, classic kind of setting to an urban or modern scene. It’s always great when a bride knows what she wants and I really enjoyed shooting in areas in and around the city that would give this atmosphere. We started out at the Bishop’s Mansion in St. Boniface, then on to the Leg, and ended with some favourite spots of mine in Headingly.
Their ceremony and reception was at The Gates on Roblin and it suited them perfectly. Planned Perfectly and With a Flourish provided a simple yet stunning set-up and the colours Alisa and Sean chose gave a really fresh and vibrant feel to everything. Their ceremony was personalized by including some special moments and traditions that meant a lot to the couple, and my photographer’s eye really appreciated the gorgeous light that came through the trees in the late afternoon. The whole setting really reflected who Alisa and Sean are as a couple.
Thanks for an awesome day and for being a great couple to work with!
