Kara and Kyle’s winter wedding came to be known as Wedding 2.0. Originally they were supposed to be married this past summer, but Kara’s father and brother were in a serious car accident days before the wedding so the date was postponed. Well, everyone involved healed up and in the end “Plan B” was a pretty spectacular day, spent with all of their loved ones.
We had a relaxed time with some beautiful moments in and around the Forks. A first for me was photographing the couple on the rooftop of the Fairmont… that’s a pretty amazing view! Another special touch was the second wedding dress Kara chose to wear later at the reception – it was her grandmother’s wedding dress from years ago.
The ceremony was heartfelt and personal. When Kyle entered a large cheer went up and later, as Kara and her father walked up the aisle, I’m quite certain there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. Kyle and Kara wrote their own vows and their love for each other was very evident. Afterwards everyone had a great time at the reception; I always love the food at the Fairmont!
Kara and Kyle, thanks for choosing me to capture your day… Wedding 2.0 :)
