As many of you know, I’ve had some unanticipated set backs in regards to the website and blog over the last few weeks but now everything is back on track and I’m very excited to finally share Dawn and Ray’s wedding! Dawn is Meagan’s cousin, they go to our church, and they’re an awesome couple… all these things meant that I was really looking forward to celebrating with them on their special day.
Dawn started the day getting ready at her parents’ house with her family and friends. Her dress and hair suited her perfectly and she looked amazing. Ray and Dawn decided to do their reveal at Grant’s Old Mill, which was a beautiful spot for them to see each other for the first time. I loved the shots of Dawn and Ray sitting together by the old mill, especially with such an awesome backdrop. Ray’s son, Archer, was so fun to have around for the day and made sure there was never a dull moment. :)
After spending some time in the Exchange and at the Hamilton Building, we headed to the ceremony and reception at the Marlborough Hotel. I’ve never photographed a ceremony at this location and it was the perfect spot for Dawn’s princess theme. It was a beautiful evening wedding and afterwards all the guests headed up stairs for a wonderful reception filled with speeches, laughter and dancing.
Dawn and Ray, thanks for allowing me to capture your special day. Meagan and I are truly happy for you both!
