It’s not very often that I get to spend an entire wedding day with just the couple but Andrea and Mike allowed me that opportunity and I loved it! A shorter engagement ensured that the decision-making process for these guys was pretty quick and simple, and their entire day reflected this relaxed and easy-going attitude too. They were an awesome couple to work with and I loved all the variety of shots we were able to get since we were only managing a crowd of two. ;)
Andrea’s parents live along the river in a beautiful part of Charleswood and this made the perfect backdrop for their first look. Even the deer came out to catch a glimpse of the bride! Another special spot to these guys was the Basilica so we made sure to include it in the day. Even though we were shooting here close to midday, the light was beautiful and I really like the shots with the couple at the Bishops Mansion.
Their ceremony was at Leo Mol Sculpture Gardens, one of my faves, which allowed the guests to make their way leisurely over to the Qualico Family Centre for the reception. I’ve done a few weddings with this location pairing this summer and I’m a big fan… it’s a great way to celebrate in one of Winnipeg’s beautiful parks. It was wonderful to see Hayley & Scott sing and play during the ceremony, as we photographed their wedding a few years back. :) The whole reception room looked fabulous thanks to Lesbia and her team at Savvy Event Planning.
Andrea and Mike, thanks for choosing Meagan and I to be a part of your day. We had an awesome time!
