Shachi and Andrew had two wedding ceremonies to enjoy with all their guests. The first was the Hindu wedding on Friday night. I love the way these ceremonies incorporate so many people – you get a real sense that two families are uniting, not just the bride and the groom.
We were up bright an early on Saturday morning for their ceremony out in Beausejour. The fresh snowfall slowed us down a little during the day but it looked absolutely beautiful for their wedding day. The ceremony was in a little white church that had just enough seats for the guests and gave a really intimate setting. With the snow still falling we hurried into the city for some indoor photographs at the Hamilton Building. What a timeless backdrop for their wedding photographs; I love the shots of Shachi standing in the hallway in her gorgeous dress from Bliss bridal. These shots really show off her bouquet as well, which was another lovely creation by Academy florist.
Once everyone was good and warm it was time to brave the cold and capture some of the beauty of a Winnipeg winter. We were off the the St. Boniface Cathedral and caught it just as the snow fall was finishing up. The girls were real troopers and I know they’ll love the images.
With daylight fading quickly it was time to head out to Bridges for the reception and some quick outdoor shots in the trees.
Thanks Shachi and Andrew for allowing to capture this special time in your life!
