Jenelle and Matt had an engagement session that was just a little bit different. They’re both teachers and Matt actually proposed to Jenelle in the classroom so they definitely wanted to incorporate a school theme into some of their images. Janelle came up with the idea of heading out to the Steinbach Mennonite Heritage Village and using some of the architecture there, including the school house. I love it when a couple really personalizes their session like that.
Like so many session this fall the original date for their engagement session got changed due to the horrible, rainy weather but it finally cleared up, and although it was a little chilly, at least it wasn’t raining. :)
We started off in the old school building which was the perfect spot for them! From there we traipsed around to a few different areas on the property. I really love the shots with the chalk boards (for obvious reasons) as well as the ones by the red barn. It seems like incorporating a red barn is always a hit. :)
Jenelle and Matt, I hope you enjoy the images and I look forward to your wedding this summer!
